Refunds Policy

This page explains how refunds work at D'MUR ESSENCE — processing times, payment methods, and what to do if yours hasn't arrived. For information on returning an item, see our Shipping & Returns page.

1. How Refunds Work

Processing time

  • We aim to process refunds within 3–5 working days of receiving your return
  • Once processed, the refund is sent back to your original payment method
  • It can then take a further 3–10 working days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider

What you'll get refunded

For change-of-mind returns, we'll refund the original standard delivery cost. If you chose express delivery (£9.99), we'll refund the equivalent of standard shipping — not the full express cost.

2. Refund Method

Refunds are always issued to the original payment method:

  • Card payments (via Stripe) — refunded to the same card
  • Klarna / Clearpay — refunded to your Klarna or Clearpay account. They'll then either reimburse you directly or cancel any remaining instalments, depending on what you've already paid. If you have questions about how Klarna or Clearpay handle your specific refund, contact them directly through their app

We don't currently offer store credit as an alternative to a refund.

3. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund within 14 working days of us confirming it's been processed:

  1. Check your bank account and the payment method used
  2. Contact your card issuer or Klarna/Clearpay — refunds sometimes take longer to clear than the initial payment
  3. If you've done both and there's still no sign of it, email us at [email protected] and we'll investigate

4. Cancelling an Order Before Dispatch

If you change your mind before your order has been dispatched, email us as soon as possible at [email protected]. If we can catch it before it ships, we'll cancel and refund in full.
